Nice timing Benjamin

Hi,

What a difference a week makes.  I picked up pictures from Mexico today...and had a chance to look at them during our 5 hours in the ER.  We had been to our own pediatrician's office earlier in the afternoon and he definitely felt Benjamin needed to go to the hospital.  He was fine yesterday morning, I thought, when he went to school.  But the bus driver said he was asleep before they left the parking lot on the way home.  Sleeping during the day is always an ominous sign for us.  He was out of it most of the rest of the day, ate little, gagged some and wet none!  By this morning he was looking bad.  No one else is sick and this seems much like what put him in the hospital more than once in the fall.  It's an infection in his small bowel, not infectious, but sure makes him feel bad.  We were hoping to catch it early enough to be able to get him on the antibiotic at home, but he just got dehydrated too quickly.  So...finally we're in our room for the night.  Jamie has been such a help and thankfully doesn't have any classes tomorrow, so she'll be able to stay most of the day before a babysitting commitment in the evening.  Anne & David pitched in and helped at home too as well as Sam being there to give a hand. (thanks kids!)  My Mom picked up some necessary groceries and Larry at least was able to get most of his sleep in after working all night.  He came home this morning feeling like he had a cold coming on, so speaking of nice timing, it's wonderful that he's off tonight, since I'm in the hospital...and he has the weekend off too, so he has a few days to recover.  I realized just now that I never got back to putting the pictures of Krissy on Spring Break on the blog that I talked about...Sorry!....and now they are at home on the other computer....  Thanks for praying for an uncomplicated stay for Benjamin here...he's feeling better already with getting some IV fluids on board.
Blessings, Janelle
